I got and built boinc. I then downloaded and build seti_boinc. I have an executable in seti_boinc/client. However, when I try to execute it nothing happens.

How do you run the seti client?

Thanks,
Michael

You need to compile the boinc client and the seti app.
The boinc client is the scheduler for the different science apps, which starts for example the seti app.

Which platform do you use ? - At boinc.berkeley.edu/download_other.php are a lot of good optimized thrid party boinc clients and seti apps for a lot of different platforms.

I use debian on an Ultra5. I will check the site you mentioned.
