Yes like many no workunits for days already, but now .... BOINC tries to upload a workunit (takes ages) and I get a BOINC message 'Secure desktop detected, this is not supported' on my screensaver, while Win XP PRO checks out my account and I have to sign in again. Never have seen this before. Anyone? |

Funny thing is.... I changed nothing in my config or running programs. This feature just happened... I think I don't like BOINC very much ;-) > no, sorry.. I run xp pro but havent seen that. sounds like a program > interfering with seti. > > ttyl > Jeff (Nightowl) > |

I think password protection gives you a protected desktop ;-) I found mine meanwhile. 2 settings were changed, withouth my interfering. First at screensaver properties 'Show welcome screen' was checked and second BOINC was in Suspend mode. Both of which I did *not* do. I think we've imported gremlins with BOINC ;-) > > no, sorry.. Unmark. See if there is in the same tab an option, I don't remember the precize phrasing, for a logon for users. Unmark that as well. |
