When I try to start boinc I get the following output: 2005-09-27 08:49:44 [SETI@home] Requesting 8640 seconds of work, returning 0 results 2005-09-27 08:49:45 [SETI@home] Scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded 2005-09-27 08:49:45 [SETI@home] Message from server: platform 'i386-portbld-freebsd5.4' not found Obviously the server doesn't like the platform string. Should I change it? What to? |

You need to use the anonyomus platform mechanism. Described here : http://boinc.berkeley.edu/anonymous_platform.php http://boinc-doc.net/boinc-wiki/index.php?title=Message_from_server:_platform_%27%28platform-name%29%27_not_found |
