PII 400mhz, 64mb RAM, 4 gb HDD, RedHat 7.3 (version came from a Linux for dummies book), machine is less than 24 hours old. Its an old NT workstation that I have saved from the trash heap. All I really want to do is make it a dedicated BOINC machine, but I would like to run it from a GUI. I have downloaded both versions of BOINC, and I cant get anything to happen. I run (in GNOME and shell) all the apps, but NOTHING happens. Somebody please give me step by step orders on how to get this thing to work. |
