At this rate, I'll have taken 6 times as long to do half of the work Classic did. Good thing they switched programs. Now it will take even longer to crunch data. My hat's off to the SETI project.

I see your one of the old school (joined up in 1999). I am sure you will remember those long periods of instability that everyone went through back with SETI@Home classic. We have to have a little faith in the developers... I know to many people its all about the work units, the stats and the glory... all in good time.

You're right Zain. I got used to having the SETI program run flawlessly and forgot about the old days. It actually is running pretty good now. Thanks for the reminder.

And since S@H1 was sending out several dozen copies of each WU just to keep the programs crunching, the amount of science you will do at this rate will be about equal to that in S@H1. If you want to keep your computers crunching more, add another project to BOINC. Unfortunately, the list is a bit short right now with only http://predictor.scripps.edu/ active. More projects are being developed.
