Also I have PLENTY of free space left on my reiserfs /home folder The first place to check is in your preferences on the web site. Click on "Your Account" at the top or bottom of this page. You will need your user key (that un-Godly long string of letters and numbers to log in). Once logged in, scroll down and click on "View or edit general preferences". There you'll see a section labeled "Disk and memory usage". I suspect one of those disk related settings may be your problem. Down at the very bottom of that page is a link to edit the settings. Once you've made changes and updated the preferences, you'll need to do an update from the client, that is, click the update button on your local client program for the changes to take effect. Hope that helps. |

Yes all the setting are ok, I have put everything at nice levels. But My Boinc client still says 0 when I look at disk tab. Am I supposed to run as root? Where do I tracepath so I know the connection is going at least. |

This is what my setting are: Use no more than 1000000 GB disk space Leave at least 1 GB disk space free Use no more than 50% of total disk space Write to disk at most every 60 seconds Use no more than 50% of total virtual memory I run ./bonicmgr and I update, under the disk tab it says Disk Space 0 bytes. Where else can be the problem, could it be a bug. I know this BONIC thing caused problems with alot of people. |

This is what my setting are: Looks like the boinc client can't detect the free disk space. Which boinc version do you use ? What OS do you use ? Can you try to make a non reiserfs, and copy only the boinc_client to this filesystem, start it and abourt it after the benchmark was successfull run. Then do a "grep d_free client_state.xml", to read out the detected memory. You can try this also with a newer and a older boinc version, on a reiserfs and a non reiserfs to eliminate problems in the boinc client. |
