Is it just me, or is it not possible to copy-and-paste text into the text widgets in the graphical boincmgr? It's just that it's rather inconvenient to have to manually type out the project URLs and my user key every time I start up. I'm using boinc 4.43 for i686-pc-linux-gnu on Mandriva Linux LE2005, kernel 2.6.13-rc5 from a KDE desktop. |

I've always had the same problem, as well as never having been able to get the web site link buttons to work. I've given up on boincmgr and started using kboincspy, a KDE app that provides all the same functions as boincmgr, plus a few 'extra' things for seti like a skymap and a running history. kboincspy has a much more 'modern' look and minimizes into the KDE taskbar. It's been a great alternative for me. Several Linux distributions have it available as a package, or you can visit the kboincspy website. |

I've installed it and have it running now. It'll take some getting used to but I'm happy not to have to use the glaring grey boincmgr anymore. It looks terrible with my custom kde color scheme. Yeah, I also have the same problem... the bindings for the keypad are right either. Here's an Installation Guide. Try the Wiki for other questions. |
