Anyone know what's happening here? (this is my first attempt with the BOINC client... what's the 'Computer ID' message referring to... is there something I have to do to enable the huge account number? (I logged into this forum with it didn't I?). I can ping the setiathome.berkeley.edu site with no problem. Any ideas would be appreciated... the windows workstation underlings are starting to get a lead on me, even bragging about it... I need to get my AMD64 Opteron going so I can catch up with them and blow them away! Thanks for your help.

The other day SETI went through a DNS change. Could this change still be affecting you?

are you running a GUI? have you tried running boincmgr?

have you tried issuing this command from a command prompt?
boinc_client -attach_project
