Hi@all, what''s going on with boinc? First I got the message "server shut down for maintainance" or the like, then I got something like "no scheduler responded" for days, when running my boinc_3.19_i386-pc-linux client under SuSE 9.0. Is this because of the change of the clients or something else ? I seem to find nothing on that theme here ... Because of my dialup I have to pay every try to get new data for my boinc_client ... :( And is there a possibility to notify the users to change the client if it is too old/there is a newer version available? TIA Thomas. |

While SETI classic always sent a new wu when one was done, SETI boinc sometimes takes hours before downloading a new wu to my Linux box, SuSE Linux 9.1. But since a couple of days downloads are more frequent. Since I have a flat fee ADSL connection I simply leave the connection running. |

But I have not an ADSL connection, just a dialup, so I have to pay per call ... And I find it really annoying, when I get only "error" messages like "no work for project" (or the like). I am really thinking about leaving the BOINC project because of the inconveniences I had the last couple of weeks ... :( |
