I've been running seti classic for years but the boinc version drives me crazy .... Todays problem: On a Linux machine boinc is downloading work, crunching for a very short time, then error message: Unrecoverable error for result 31ja04aa.12542.31889.1040906.254_1 (process exited with code 245 (0xf5)) then it uploads (successfully???) and downloads the next work package. Work is not documented on my account, not even the successful downloads are added ... would be happy on any hint !!!! Rgds, Matthias |

Hi Lars, Looks realy strange ! Have you set the permissions of all the directories unter your boinc directory for the user writeable ? Which Version of setiathome do you use ? - Look at $BOINC_DIR/projects/$PROJECTNAME. Is the binary executable for your user ? Which linux do you use ? Lars |

Hallo, es sieht so aus, als ob das problem nur bei version 4.02 auftritt. Versuch doch mal eine andere version zu nutzen z.b eine von ned sliders page. gruss Matthias ![]() Join BOINC United now! |

I had a look at the page of Ned Slider but couldn't find any explanation on how to use it ... tried a lot of things but no success ... I then reinstalled everything again and now it dies with error code 127 ... error codes without explanation remind me strongly on M$ :-( .... The whole BOINC Linux version seems to be pretty unreliable, I put an old M$ version on that machine and it worked instantly. Thanks for your help cu Matthias |

Can you please post the output of the file stderr.txt and the output of the commands "ldd boinc_client" and "ldd setiathome-4....." |
