Perhaps it was not meant to be publicized here, but Eric did ask in the developer mail list for a couple of hundred testers to sign up. He'll probably get that in short order, now that this thread is here.

Very short order, I'm account number 186. That's the lowest I've had on any project.

Finished crunching 1Wu with setiathome_enhanced.....not fast at all!! It took as long as more than 4 hours! SO I lowered resource share to 5% ;) Now waiting for the source to be released..or they will not?

AstroPulse is back in alpha/beta testing to make sure it works with the current generation clients. And I guess that they are also testing the new SETI@Home Science Application too ...

Wow! LOTS happening this week ...

Paul,
Are you saying that the beta may download either of two sciences?
Put another way, is seti_enhanced 'just' an enhanced SETI application, and a separate app will download if an astorpulse WU is available? Or are they now/going to be separate web sites - or...

AstroPulse is an application that S@H will be running along with the SETI application (you get one or the other for each WU).

Tks John,
It's been a time since I read much about astropulse... will it process exactly the same WUs as SETI, but with a different app looking for different things?
Or is the data different.

Back to the discussion about "SETI@home Enhanced"

Maybe it is S@h Southern Hemisphere?

If I recall correctly, the source data is the same tapes, but it is split differently. AP is looking for broadband pulses, so all frequencies are sent to the client rather than splitting the frequencies into bands. SETI is looking for narrow band pulses and waveforms.

There are 5 more shhh projects and 3 more out of Japan that require a custom client that supports https. And this is just the list that I am aware of.

Orbit calculates the orbits of earth orbit crossing asteroids to see if one of them is going to hit the earth. Given enough advanced warning, we may be able to do something.
