Ive been running boin for about 2 weeks now but the last few days i have been getting messages whenever i try to upload a completed unit or download a new one, like: 12/06/2005 20:20:16|SETI@home|Requesting 8640.00 seconds of work 12/06/2005 20:20:16|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi 12/06/2005 20:20:17|SETI@home|Scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi failed 12/06/2005 20:20:17|SETI@home|No schedulers responded 12/06/2005 20:20:17|SETI@home|Deferring communication with project for 1 hours, 46 minutes, and 33 seconds this just repeats it self every hour or so, occasionally succeeding to download/upload. This is also happening with the Einstein and protein predictor but not as often as with SETI, (i only started those two as well when i got bored of my computer sitting idle) Is there something im doing wrong or is it just boinc 'growing pains'??? thanks philippa |

From the news at the homepage June 12, 2005 There is a problem with the scheduler program such that it stops shortly after startup. We're looking into it June 10, 2005 We are back online after an OS upgrade to the upload/download file server. The outage was extended because we had to let the RAID resync. Service will be spotty as we catch up.. As due to this, up and downloads can give problems. Read the News at the homepage Have a look at the Technical News Look if your question is not answered at the Boinc Wiki Best greetings, Thierry |
