Hello everybody, I just installed Boinc and attached to the Seti Project. Works fine (so far)... After downloading the SetiClient and the first WU the SetiClient starts to work... Everything still looks fine. I even can update my Stats... But, after finishing the first WU and trying to connect Boinc crashes, it´s just disapears. Trying to start it again it´ll start, but then crashes again. Even the command line client crashes in the moment the finished WU is tried to send. After undinstalling Boinc and reinstallation everything begins as described above. Any ideas ? My System (at work, it works at home ;)) is an Windows 2000 SP 3, Connection through a http-proxy. Please help, thanks in advance greeting Markus PS : StErr.Txt : ***UNHANDLED EXCEPTION**** Reason: Access Violation (0xc0000005) at address 0x00401D68 write attempt to address 0x73614220 |

I (and many others) also had this problem. If you have to authorize for you proxy, BOINC crashes when uploading. If you change your proxy settings so that BOINC doesn't need autorisation, then BOINC doesn't crash. ================= www.boincstats.tk |

Thanks for the answer, but unfortunally I´ve to authorize for my proxy :( As it is in my office there is no chance to hae unauthorized access... Is there any chance that this bug will be out of the client in future ? greetings Markus > I (and many others) also had this problem. > > If you have to authorize for you proxy, BOINC crashes when uploading. > > If you change your proxy settings so that BOINC doesn't need autorisation, > then BOINC doesn't crash. > ================= > www.boincstats.tk > |
