All of a sudden, whenever I am downloading work, I keep getting the following message:

Suspending computation and network activity - user is active.

I have reset the project, I have detatched and re-attached to the project, but keep getting this error. What could be the problem and how can it be corrected?

Check you settings on the website. Under general settings there is a line that say:
Do work while computer is in use? Yes/no set to yes and update you client.
