.oO(My God, I'm happy I usually don't see sigs, first, it took forever to load, and guys, some of yours really sucks!!!)

I'm with you Fuzzy. I've always kept signatures hidden, for both of the reasons you mentioned, but also... hiding the sigs keeps everyone 'equal' in my eyes. Nobody's banner is flashing in my face saying 'mine's bigger than yours' and all that other stuff people put in their sigs.

You're all just text to me. ;)

LOL. Yes, I do enjoy your smilies. I especially enjoyed the S&M smilies you posted the other day. Nothing like a good crack of the whip to get your day started. :)

Anyhow it looks like the problem is restricted to readers with IE and
sigs enabled.

PLEASE! Fix the damn forum width problem.

They are ALL broken!

Why won't [color=red] and [size=20] not work?

Just some dumb questions,

It works okay on the test forums. Maybe that a comma got transfered incorrectly when they updated the forums. But hey, at least we can go back now and see what made it go haywire.

Probably that added scrollbar for posts that go beyond the set width of the forums that doesn't get rendered correctly in IE. But that's more of a problem with IE, than the code, since Microsoft's main browser doesn't follow W3 requirements.

W3 requirements? Who designed these standards? Maybe they aren't suitable
standards if MS sees fit not to build to them. Like it or not it is the
market leader in web browsers (at least in terms of market share and usage).

W3's mission goals:
The social value of the Web is that it enables human communication, commerce, and opportunities to share knowledge. One of W3C's primary goals is to make these benefits available to all people, whatever their hardware, software, network infrastructure, native language, culture, geographical location, or physical or mental ability.

If MS doesn't see fit to follow them, but relies on sloppy code that breaks its use on other formats, then it's their loss. Or it's their way of trying to take over the web, as they've done so with everything else so far. Your remark shows that:

Like it or not it is the
market leader in web browsers (at least in terms of market share and usage).

Everyone knows how they have done this. Push alternative browsers, that were there before their broken flagship came out of the drydocks, out of the market by forcing everyone to always use IE, one way or the other. Or do you really believe your Windows explorer is different code from IE? That it will still work if you "uninstall IE"? ;)

But even then, what does keep MS from adding some basic functionality into their browsers? Follow some basic rules (like W3) like following the closure of tags instead of their "opening and forget" policy. No wonder their browser needs so many security updates or that simple things like text-based forums break on their browser.

Every programming error is ultimately a human error. Standards or none, programs often behave unexpectedly (see the BOIC client for examples) especially when running on multiple platforms and varied architectures.

Anyhow, like i said I don't remember enough about it. I have a vague memory of learning something about W3C when I was studying a Bachelor of Electronic Commerce. At the time I don't think they amounted to much. I think they still probably don't.

Well all of a sudden the scroll bars in the individual posts are gone. However the maximum width page remains.

@Bruno, do you have the Danish Mozilla Firefox? I installed the American, as I'm used to look at American text anyway, and I don't have that problem. I upgraded lately to 1.0.4.

The American one - but I still prefere IE as the look and feel of it has grown on me. Just a small thing as the way images load is slightly "better" etc. So I actually only use FF to test my own stuff
