Hi, everytime I try to log into seti@home with boinc -attach_project http://setiathome.berkeley.edu account_key I get the following mesaage: [SETI@home] Message from server: Invalid or missing account key. Visit this project's web site to get an account key. BOINC failed to log in to http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/. Please check your account key and try again. With Windows it works. Under Linux I tried Boinc 4.19, 4.30, 4.32. What could be wrong? How can I test the connection? Thanks in advance, Axel |

I have BOINC 4.19 running on Novell Linux Desktop 9 (which should be similar to your SuSE 8.1) and I just ran ./boinc_4.19_i686-pc-linux-gnu (from /home/boinc) without the -attach_project and it asked for my project URL and then account key which I pasted from my email and registered just fine. I guess it could also, I suppose, be a problem using the simlink with the command line arguments but I doubt it. This should work fine for you unless you need to attach to more than one project. BOINC really needs to help the Unix/Linux amound us with better *nix versions of BOINC. |

The above method worked for me as well |
