Hello. I have replaced SETI classic with BOINC on several machines. I noticed that it takes a while for each newly added machine's credit to start showing. This is acceptable. However, when I recently added a couple machines (~24hrs ago) the credit for those WU's has never shown but machines I have added less than 12 hours ago have. What gives? The sad part is, the two machines that don't show credit are relatively fast machines and have cranked out a ton of WU's so far. |

The result has to be validated with two other completed results. If you have a fast machine and the two computers that the wu was sent to are slow or only process some of the time it maybe days before the results are returned. Some of the dialup person only return there results once a week. The validater sometime is over loaded and takes time to catch up. I've had pending results for up to two week before getting the credit. Now if the user decides to detached or reset no result from them. After the 14 day deadline the work unit is put back on the list to be send out again to receive 3 valid results and the process is started over. I hope this helps. I got'cha. As long as they aren't spinning their wheels for nothing I am satisfied. LOL Thanks for your time. Rob (Classic: 79,765 -=- BOINC: 3136) |
