Signed up the other day, but so far no luck. I've been more lucky with climateprediction.net sofar. Was wondering if someone could help me out here and tell me what the problem could be. The account has been open and activated.

./boinc_4.19_i686-pc-linux-gnu -attach_project
Enter the URL of the project: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu
You should have already registered with the project
and received an account key by email.

It repeats this a number of times until it detaches the project.

Thanks in advance! BOINC@España

There where several server outages the last time because of the prepare for the swithc over from SETI@home classic to BOINC.

I believe the problem is vanished now.

Thanks for your reply!

I'm trying to contact the server as I write this (11/02 at 2100CET). Still can not connect. Is the setup for seti so much different than for climatepred? Do I need to configure something that is not required for climatepred?

I appreciate your help! BOINC@España

That's your problem, I believe. What I suspect is that your key was invalid. Could it have had a space at the start or end? That sometimes happens when you cut'n'paste.

I suggest you try detaching from the project and re-attaching, making sure that the key is entered correctly.

Be lucky

Neil

I think you were right, tried it (manual entry) and got through to the scheduler. Crunching away now. THANKS!
