My AMD crashed on me after it over heated and restarted. Once it was done booting, all workunits and the seti program (d/l via BOINC) was all erased!! completely!! Is this some sort of major bug? Cause i had download a few workunits to last me some days as the cable company was redoing the lines and changing a few routers, and now its all gone! |

> Probably has to do with the computer crash. Try error-checking the HD. NT > class windows does not always write to the HD until system shutdown, pulling > the plug can do do damage to the contents of the HD. Umm... if your processor is overheating you are focusing on the wrong thing here. Address your cooling problem first! =P You are wrecking your system this way and screwing up the science results in the progress too. Fortunately, BOINC triple-checks the first results returned. ~David |
