This is not to prevent spam, but only for giving a reason to crunch here, isn't it?

It shouldn't be hard to write a script which creates an account and crunch one WU before creating the spam profile. To write a script solving reCAPTCHAs is impossible.

Moreover RAC is calculated in a wrong way here, I think. Over at Spinhenge@home I needed 100 more credits to reach a RAC of 10 (their "spammer prevention"). I just got 70 credits here, but my RAC only increased to 0.21, so I'd need 4 more WUs to reach that RAC 1 limit here to update my old profile.

If you want to set a (imho useless) limit based on computing power, you should take something like 100 Total Credits...

RAC limit also has an effect on posting to the AstroPulse Board ... all in all, a fustrating experience when trying to comment about an AstroPulse work unit that consumes nearly a week's worth of uninterrupted computing power.

Perhaps, the people in charge could look more carefully at the limits in force at various points within the project, with the possibility of changing the "lockouts" ...
