Wow, thanks for the win, Darrell. It seems like forever since I last won. Glad to see that the site survived the latest update. Well back to posting and what you have all been waiting for, here are the Rules:
-------------

1. The winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, the old winner posts a declaration of the new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.)
6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's.
7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post)

I'm glad that you enjoyed the win Carlos.

But on the other hand I certainly havn't enjoyed the last few hot and muggy days here as we hit 30C (felt like 31C) here yet again with still 2 more days of this heat to put up with and even once we return to normal summer mountain temps these terribly muggy days are set to last longer. :-(

And between this tropical like heat and a mongrel spine that's been giving me quite a bit of grief I havn't got back to finishing off the yard which is getting away from me again as well.

Otherwise my veggies are absolutely loving this weather as I can't keep some of them off the grass while it's getting near on impossible now to water the potato and pumpkin stacks on the old veggie garden bed, but I do have some butternuts that make 2L Coke bottles look small already.

Anyhow ATM I'm trying to blow today's heat out of here, but with it being a muggy 24C (feels like 26C) outside I'm not having much success there either.

Cheers.

Muchos congratulations Carlos for a good win.

Wishing you muchos brighter weather than that seen here!...

Here it be nicely mild but we're totally lost in the misty grey murk... Not even the faintest hint of where the sun might be... Now where's that sunstone...?

Let's compromise. Please send us some of your heat and we will send you some of our cold. Currently, about 40f but with wind chill it feels like 25f.
About 2 inches of rain fell overnight and more is on the way. Officially winds are in 25 with gusts of 40 but my boat's wind vane is reading 30-60 mph. According to weather reports, we could see an inch of rain per hour and as much as 12 inches of rain between now and Monday. So Cal is getting hit the worst. I am up where the "i" in San Francisco is on this map. In the yellow zone.

Glad I am inside next to the fire.

Sounds like a plan Carlos because as the sun rises here it's a foggy and muggy 20C (feels like 23C) with 31C expected.

Anyhow it's time for a coffee.

Cheers.

Now that the veggies have been watered and the fog is burning off we're now at a muggy 22C (feels like 25C).

I also couldn't get my unit anywhere near cool enough overnight to become a cool haven today as I could only get it down to a muggy 23C so I might as well leave the place open today.

Anyhow I better get a 2nd coffee in before I head on back outside.

Cheers.

Another murky mid morning.

Strangely mild and calm...

Day #3 and lots to do.

The big 'test'/'challenge' today is getting a certain operator to complete some safety documentation ready for some testing this afternoon. Unfortunately, I detect a certain irritation and reluctance...

Safety? We don't need to bother with that do we??... (It's dubious lazy "short cuts" all the way...)

Definitely need a bigger coffee mug!

We made it to a steamy 30C (felt like 32C) here today and thankfully it's cooling down quicker than yesterday being down to a muggy 19C (feels like 20C) with 15C being expected in the morning before 1 more hot day is to be had.

Anyhow I'm about to it a night before another road trip Tuesday arrives.

Cheers.

This is hard work with them... It's looking like I get no lunch...

Had a heart stopping panic earlier when the Inspectors turned up, early!!! Lots of faff and a bit of nervous confusion ensued... The lead inspector was one of those double-speed abrupt speakers with staccato brisk actions and total fumbling of the paperwork and... After far too many minutes we worked out that they were not our inspectors! They had the paperwork for a different section! Phew!!!

Meanwhile... Our key operator is... Being 'awkward' about things. And too late now... This is going to be an unnecessarily close run thing. A good 'talking to' has stirred some renewed activity...

Where is that Darth Vader when the ultimate in motivation is needed?

Anyone got a spare evil light sabre??

(And this really isn't my normal job!)

Ah inspectors. Some of you must be lucky where you know in advance they are coming. If we are lucky someone spots them pulling into the car park, otherwise it is when the door opens and immediate access to the bowels is demanded.

Posting on a much cooler Tuesday morning where we got off to a 15C start here while 28C is now expected before a damp night.

Time now to get a coffee or 2 in before hitting the road.

Cheers.
