Thanks for the win Mike.

The following are the Rules:

-------------

1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.)
6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's.
7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post)

Have fun!

Rain and cold weather here for the foreseeable future. It just couldn’t wait until I got home and groceries unloaded.

Thanks Carlos.

A lot of dark clouds and thunder about here, but very little rain so far (unless you live a few miles to the north) Admiral, and a lot cooler than it was 90mins ago.

The mercury here reached 28C (felt like 27C) before all these storms cells turned up and it's now down to 24C.

Anyhow seeing as the last of the grounded choppers makes a bid for freedom between storm cells I can now get back to the cricket and actually hear it as well.

Cheers.

Thanks Rob and thanks again Mike.

My big fan is trying hard ATM to suck in as much cool air as it can from outside before that sun rises as 30C is expected today.

Anyhow it's time to turn the kettle on.

Cheers.

Right the brewroom is fully back into kitchen mode, I've been across to the supermarket and I'm just about to head back outside to see how I go making a bird keep-out cage for my huge wicking tub to stop the sparrows chewing my lettuce up, but how long I can stay out there for will be the big question as after a 15C (felt like 16C) start here it's already up to 24C.

The pop up fuel station down on the oval is again setting up for another day of business as the 22 wheeler and 12 wheeler fuel trucks get themselves into their starting positions.

Cheers.

I pulled the plug at 28C (felt like 27C) here today outside and as I was packing up I realised that I could've done most of the job in the shade draining off of the back of the shop. I only had to remove the downpipe and build the anti-bird cage over it, oh well maybe tomorrow morning.

And then the power went off I must get a battery and after a beer I decided to head to the pub (they have backup power) for a couple of more beers and a feed and no sooner did I walk in than the power came back on, then a shower fell followed by another and I decided to leave just as another was starting and the thunder was getting closer.

The oval is once again a parking lot for choppers with 6 down there ATM until these storm cells pass.

I all today hasn't been running smoothly.

Oh, and did I mention those brain dead grey nomads that don't care whose driveway they block? Even when there's a large car parked in it?

I better have another beer.

I woke up at 5C and it`s still cloudy and grey outside.
Still more like november.

Congrats to Wiggo!

... And all whilst I was lost busy in doing double-shifts...

And what a pleasant difference a small increase in temperature can make!

So... We uncovered a rusty bucket of alien worms to get an equipment/facilities upgrade working. Our 'articulate' lying bag of excuses must have been way too far out of his depth. He and his assistants may well have been crudely able to partially bolt things together, but they clearly had no idea how things worked and knew nothing of testing... Multiple seals and adapters replaced, one entire section of piping replaced/reworked, and we're good enough although not perfect. There's one further test/checking to come on Tuesday.

... And there's going to be arguments. Hey ho!

Reminds me of years ago of a refinery pipeline being run across the site. Pipe segments arrived by lorry and the work gang merely had to bolt the flanges together. All the supports/fixings were already in place. The only complication were the expansions. Come to testing for leaks and... The air pressure would build up and then sharply drop down again, repeatedly, in a sort of saw-tooth pattern. We also heard various hollow thuds and thumps... We eventually found a LOT of mashed up cardboard rammed against the inside of the drain valve exhaust grill... The fitters hadn't bothered to remove the cardboard end caps before bolting the pipes together. So much for the high pressure metal seals doing their job!... And no, the joints weren't remade. It's very likely still leaking gas to this day...

Meanwhile, I'm enjoying a very good break for the weekend!!

Thanks Martin.

Well Sunday got off to a 12C (felt like 11C) start here while 32C is expected so over the next 90 mins I'm trying to suck as much of that cool air inside as I can before closing the heat out.

Anyhow it's time for a coffee now that the veggies have been watered.

Cheers.

Posting on a warm Monday morning down under.

I got an early start on things outside before I had to close up inside as it's heating up quickly after a 16C (felt like 17C) start we're already at 20C (feels like 21C) with 29C being expected before more thunderstorms turn up while inside it's 20C (feels like 17C) in the wind tunnel.

Anyhow I'm going to enjoy a 2nd coffee before I head back out there to finish off my anti-bird cage for my huge wicking tub to save my lettuce from the sparrows.

Cheers.
