I just found this recipe. What do you think? Would you try it? I frequently have over-ripe bananas, so I just might try to whip some up. No carbs, so good for diabetics.

How To Make 2-Ingredient Banana Pancakes
They’re not a replacement for your favorite Saturday morning recipe, they’re something more.

I hear you. Last night was 12oz bag of Skinner Medium Noodles and a jar of Alfredo sauce. Would of had a large chicken breast diced in it but it was frozen and I was to lazy at the time to boil it in chicken broth. ;-/

I'm just having a dozen steamed ultra mini dim sims and drowned them in a mix of cup of cream of chicken and Thia curry soup mix with fried noodles. :-D

Cheers..

As always, there's some very good comment in there.

Going out and about...

I'm just horrified by how many people I see who have been made disabled by processed foods.

Scary!!

Here's the central third of a very practical interview:

That is beautifully plainly described. There is a lot that we can easily do to help ourselves.

... We can very much enjoy healthy food and more healthy living.

Enjoy!

Anyone like applesauce? Try finding “chunky” applesauce. It’s hard to find but it gives you something to chew on.

Maybe these people are not the smartest nuts in the world...
People losing it after discovering how cashews actually grow: ‘This is not real’
Cashew nuts are cased in a shell which contains a toxic oil that is harmful to humans.

As a result, the healthy snack is roasted at high heat, either by steaming them in a large rotating drum or vat of boiling oil to remove urushiol remnants before they can be shelled, thoroughly dried, and peeled, Healthline reports.

These are the “raw” cashews many of us purchase from grocery stores, labeled as such because they’re free of added flavorings.

So...

Recently, I've returned from a 3 day conference and... Excellent conference. Good interesting people and some very good presentations.

And we 'enjoyed' lunchtime and evening catering as provided there and...

Mmmm...

Quite a big difference from my more usual eating...

So, there was almost no salad offered. What salad there was, was there merely for 'decoration'. There was no problem for a selection of vegetarian options except... The vegetarian options were nearly all pre-prepared highly processed mass produced "reheat and serve" servings. Quite often in puff pastry or filo pastry. The one exception was a cheese and broccoli pie, except, the make-believe cheese was some high processed low cost substitute and there was a mere hint of a few bits of broccoli. I actually suffered an uncomfortable stomach after that dish, possibly from the inch-thick crust hiding the meager content.

To be fair to the staff, "veggie" is something they do not normally cater for! My impression was that they had made the best guesses they could...

And although I was having my normal portions, I was definitely being left hungry and somehow vaguely feeling uncomfortable. So much so that for one evening I sneaked out to a 'proper' veggie restaurant to enjoy a good healthy meal.

So, just three days and... I came back about 1kg heavier!! (Hopefully, that will naturally drop off again soon.)

Now I'm back onto my more normal non-processed-foods eating, it's taken a few days for my stomach to settle again and I'm noticeably sleeping soundly again and feeling a lot more alive again.

Just wow!!

Dread to think how those on "fast food" junk food forever suffer...

Eat healthy folks!!

And enjoy!

As a devout omnivore I fail to see why vegetarians & vegans crave after some over-processed thing (I refuse to call it food) that looks something like a meat product but falls way short on flavour and texture when there are some really great "real" veg foodstuffs around that require virtually no processing (maybe a bit of trimming and mixing with like minded ingredients) before cooking, with the resultant dish looking and tasting great and with great texture.
(And please don't get me started on vegan cheese, which really is about the worst thing I've ever eaten since earthworms at the age of two or three.)

As a fellow devout dyed in the wool omnivore. I agree with Rob.
I know the herbivore route is a option sometimes. There was a buffet restaurant I liked before it closed it’s doors. It catered to vegans while the carnivore add-ons tried to hide the fact. You could plate up a monstrosity of a salad.

Their intestinal flora are properly adjusted for their diet. Give them a vegan diet and they would bloat and suffer horribly.

Ahhh... That's where a healthy symbiosis doesn't work like that.

Junk Food develops a very unhealthy mix of intestinal flora that then has unhealthy adverse consequences...

Instead, eat healthy and live well!

Enjoy!!

Which is something I very definitely noticed on a recent conference trip...

Not my normal diet there, too much processed food, and I was left feeling slightly uncomfortably hungry still. There was definitely a added temptation/urge to 'snack'...

In contrast, back to my more normal non-processed foods, my stomach is nicely quietly content and I can enjoy my day with no distractions for snacking. I can also properly enjoy when I do eat at well defined meal times.

Enjoy your good food!

Good to Enjoy!!

No surprises with this one:

Turmeric could be as effective as medicine for indigestion, says study
wrote:

Turmeric may be as good for treating indigestion as medicine, a study suggests.

A natural compound found in the culinary spice may be as effective as omeprazole, a drug used to reduce excess stomach acid and treat indigestion...

... until now it has been not clear how well it compares with conventional drugs for indigestion, largely because there have been no comparative studies...

... Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), which are used to treat dyspepsia (indigestion) ... However, long-term use of PPIs has been linked to increased fracture risk, micronutrient deficiencies, and a heightened risk of infections...

... “the new findings from our study may justify considering curcumin [turmeric spice] in clinical practice”

Now... I wonder why the drug companies have never researched that one?...

Myself, I really do enjoy my curries!!

Enjoy naturally!

So... I've had another few days of an unwelcome taster of unhealthy foods and...

Yep. I've returned again with a full but unhappy stomach and I still feel hungry. At least I've been too busy to succumb to extra snacking!

And contrary to the comment over here of seeing effects over a three week period... I'm definitely on a 3-day rollercoaster...

Now to get healthy again!

Enjoy?!
