Desperate NHS pays up to £2,500 for nursing shifts

Be warned, if your country's health model is based on the theory that "the Market will decide".

This is starting to go the same way as energy prices.

How are the cost-benefits and ethics of these going to be balanced and trickled out?

Cancer mRNA vaccine completes pivotal trial
wrote:
Researchers say they have successfully completed a trial of a personalised cancer vaccine that uses the same messenger-RNA technology as Covid jabs.

The experimental vaccine, made by Moderna and Merck, is designed to prime the immune system to seek and destroy cancerous cells...

... the vaccine is very expensive to make - although, the company has not named a price...

Newborns to get rapid genetic disease diagnosis
wrote:
Rare genetic disorders will be diagnosed and treated in babies thanks to a project to sequence the complete DNA of 100,000 newborns...

... The project is the first time that whole genome sequencing (WGS) has been offered to healthy babies in the NHS. It will screen for around 200 disorders, all of them treatable...

... There are at least 7,000 single gene disorders, most of which develop during early childhood...

... Currently, a heel prick blood test offered to newborns screens for nine rare conditions, including cystic fibrosis and sickle cell disease...

Interesting...

And note the ethics dodge for the screening in that only treatable conditions will be looked for.

Care is needed for where that genetic data goes...

So... What will the pharmaceutics industry charge for that?...

With what profits gouging, simply because they can...?

There has to be a better way instead of profits at all costs...

Stay healthy folks!
