Am i missing some golden Boinc nugget because i'm just about to give up on this and go look for coins in the sofa instead!

Out of 5 computers that ran perfectly only one is now working.

Cleaned install / data files / registry the lot / fresh BOINC client install seems to make no difference.

Windows 10 pcs - if that makes any difference.

Help / suggestions happily received.

Exit and restart BOINC and post the Event log here.
What AV/ Anti-malware software are you running? Many can be overly aggressive and block BOINC from accessing the net, or delete anything it tries to download.

Your computer list shows plenty of computers, 2 of which have contacted the servers today (one has work, the other doesn't), 2 others 3 weeks ago, and the rest were last year or even further back in time.

Cheers Grant - yeah it's odd. I'll pop the logs here in a tick. I haven't properly sat down and argued with it until this weekend ( got a cold so have time free in one place) and would like to get it sorted.

Is it that CPU job cache full that's causing the issue?

GPUgrid / climate prediction and Rosetta - doesn't matter if i remove all the other ones and just leave SETI@home there - same issue.

but in the interests of a clean slate ... i'll remove all projects. UNinstall. Clean up the reg / file system one more time and give it a go.

Well now that seems to have fixed it! Weird - i wonder if this was related to that last crash and something that was 'stuck' in a buffer somewhere has now been marked as cleared.

ANd the other machine that won't work was a winsock / adapter issue

netsh winsock reset
and
netsh int ip reset /all

Will see how that goes over the next few days.

used my mobile as a usb modem for the initial connection registration. That worked. Once that was done, back on the domain network and it downloaded new units fine.

21 years and that client still gives me the odd surprise.
