I got to watch a short movie (about 30 minutes) on how one small town in Kansas (USA) was coping (successfully) with Emigration and Refugees from all over the world. You go to church to learn things. Right? :)

The movie is called "Strangers in Town" by Stephen Lerner, Psychologist
Anyone with access to the Internet can watch it free.

To me what seems fairly normal for over here seems to be a far more alien over in the U.S. to me quite frankly.

Cheers.

That depends very much on where you are in the USA. On the left coast it has been diverse for many decades. In the deep south Jim Crow kept everyone separate. In the heartland it is only now starting to mix and there are many Rump supporters who want Jim Crow laws to stop that. They simply don't understand it makes the USA stronger.

Here in the Los Angeles area, there isn't just China Town as in several big cities, there are sections for every Asian culture, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, ... . Then there are sections For Sri Lanka, India, South Africa, England, Germany ... . Not to mention the Americas, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brazil ... . Of course the Mexicans were here before the Americans, after all California was Mexico before it was ceded, they never left. We all meet and mix at our cultural spots. It isn't an issue and it should not be an issue. We are all Americans. But I get that some people must self privilege. It is a pity, for they are the ones who lose out. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/millennial-media/201304/do-racism-conservatism-and-low-iq-go-hand-in-hand

Dull according to the article you cited these immigrants are pretty desirable residents. They are productive enough to live in $750,000 houses. To earn that much they must be well educated.
