I have been running Seti for quite some time without problems, but suddenly the program started to crash Linux... I have 12 threads+ GPU running, but not all thread are crashing at the same time, it's only after all threads crashes that Linux freeze without Dump!
The message I have been able to catch on the console before a full display of memory status is:

"Unable to handle paging request f...fd247e18d"

The result is that I totally stopped execution on Linux until I can suppress the problem!

My System:
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 @ 4.3Ghz (OC), 6 cores, 12 threads
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 3600
GPU: nVidia Geforce GTX 1070ti c/w 4GB DDR5
O/S: Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, kernel 4.18.0-25 SMP of June 27 2019 x86_64
Boinc: 7.9.3+dfsg-5ubuntu2 from the repository
Seti: 1) setiathome_8.05_i686-pc-linux-gnu 2) setiathome_8.22_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_nvidia_SoG

I downloaded the Boinc version 7.2.42 from the web site, but it does not execute, missing a library that does not exits on the repository: libwx_gtk2u_html-2.8.so.0
If I try to run the client only, I get the message: "./boinc: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl.so.4: version `CURL_OPENSSL_3' not found (required by ./boinc)", but I have both libcurl3 & libcurl4 installed !!

Well, for a start you are using a pretty old version of BOINC - the current one is in the 7.14.x series, and that uses the more recent version(s) of libcurl....
With your computers hidden it is difficult to see if there is any more information about the crashes in the tasks error reports. Un-hiding your computers does not give anyone access, but it does allow people to see the report files for completed tasks.
Without that however, a few questions that may help point things in the right direction:
Are you overclocking the CPU or GPUs?
Have you checked that the memory is OK - segmentation faults can be the result of a failing RAM stick, or a failing motherboard.
Have you tried re-seating all the cards & RAM?
Is the PSU OK?

I agree that the Linux BOINC provided by the project is very outdated and not functional anymore. I would suggest using the BOINC package that your distro maintainers provide. Or download the current master from github and compile the client and manager yourself. Or you might try the All-in-One BOINC package made by TBar that provides the latest standard 7.14.2 BOINC versions. It also is setup for Nvidia cards using the special app but if you don't have Nvidia cards or don't want to run the applications provided by the installer, you can always delete the app_info and have the schedulers send you the stock applications. At least you will have a much more modern and capable BOINC installation. The AIO installer is here:
