2 years ago I asked a friend of mine to install s@h for me. Because I had a lot of issues with viruses he later changed my operating system from Windows to Ubuntu. Now when I click on "Computers on this account", I see my computer twice. Once with Windows OS, and once with Linux. So far so good, but the problem is that my GPU which is mentioned with Windows is not mentioned with Linux anymore. So I assume (correct me if I'm wrong!) the GPU is not crunching now. How do I correct this? And please, I had a friend install BOINC for me so ELI5!

Since Ubuntu 16.04, that Ubuntu doesn't have out of the box drivers for AMD anymore. So now it depends on which Ubuntu was installed on your system.
- If an older version, like 14 or 15, you can download the last available drivers from this list (an AMD Kalindi is Radeon HD 8000 – HD 8400) and see if those work.
- If a newer version 16 or above, you have no hope. You can try the newer AMD Pro drivers, but it's doubtful they'll work.

However, your Linux computer has more problems than that as it hasn't contacted the project since February of this year. I don't know if it's worth the effort to try to revive it. It's easier to install BOINC on Android devices and let those run Seti, costs less electricity and thus money as well.

Thanks! I'm in the gridcoin pool since february so that's not a problem.
