Raspbeery Pi has Videocore 4 GPU. The GPU is capable of Blu-ray-quality playback, using H.264 at 40MBits/s. It has a fast 3D core, accessed using the supplied OpenGL ES 2.0 and OpenVG libraries.

Can we configure it to increase the processing a bit more?

No, because it doesn't have an OpenCL implementation, and while VC4CL is being developed, it's nowhere near complete. Aside from that, I doubt most Pi owners want their GPU to all of a sudden do calculations here, because of heat problems and lack of adequate cooling.

Thanks for the reply.. The cooling problem is currently being manged. E.g. for my current Pi 3 with all 4 cores on SETI@Home CPU temperature reaches 82 degree Celsius without cooling. But with use normal Table Fan, the CPU can be cooled down by 20 to 22 degrees to 62 degree Celsius.

I am looking forward to add put few more Pi 3s working 24x7 on BOINC Projects and cooling for those will more adequate with 12V CPU fans.
So where I can check for the progress with OpenCL implementation OR development of VC4CL, so that if that is available in future, I can add bit more computation power to network?

Just one more question, if GPU computing for Pi is available in future, will it need more cooling than dedicated CPU Fans and Table Fan if required?
