Not a priority at all, but still: it would be nice if the World Community Grid project could be linked through our account data pages (examples 1 and 2) as apparently are all the other BOINC projects =:)

I seem to remember it was either because WCG was the only project using an HTTPS link and that couldn't be integrated into an array that used HTTP links only, or it's something to do with how you register there with the user name being the unique identifier and not with your email address. In any case, I've asked the admins of both projects about that.

Thank you, Ageless. Celerity, pertinence, knowledge, experience, proactivity - and your ♫ : you rule on all accounts. Considering the points you're raising, I won't keep my hopes too high =:)

Okay, with thanks to Juha for finding this.

The World Community Grid cannot be linked because they don't have user pages. The pages those links in your account point to are your accounts at the other projects. WCG doesn't use those. So it cannot be linked to.

commit c6ee2ed:
David  29 Dec 2006
    - user web: add project list to private use page also;
        sort projects by descending avg credit;
        don't link to user page on WCG (they don't have them)

Thanks to both of you for unearthing this old but terminally revealing service ticket. Now resuming quiet desperation mode.
