I am withdrawing my support for SETI and Uc Berkeley in general due to the obvious lack of free speech support by the university unless it fits with their Liberal agenda. Recent efforts by first amendment terrorists on campus to suppress free discussion of diverse opinions with the threat of violence and the lack of support by Janet Napalitano to protect such opinions is contrary to the spirit of our constitution and our Nation. Case in point Ann Coulter's recent attempt to speak by invitation at UC Berkeley which was thwarted by Liberal terrorist!. I doubt this would have happened if Barac Obama or Hilary Clinton were invited and threatened . The entire California National Guard would have been activated. Shame on you UC Berkeley!!! And that makes you precisely who Eric was referring to if you want to make SETI pay because of what is happening at Berkeley. SETI has nothing to do with the protests at Berkeley, nor does SETI have any control over who Berkeley allows or doesn't allow to speak on campus. SETI doesn't even have control over what type of politics Berkeley has. Shame on you for holding SETI responsible for the actions of others! |

Ah don't be too harsh on the children. They haven't reached the stage where they learn that there are consequences :-) |

I should have read this thread first . Wow so that's what all the hoopla is about How come some here say it's the left wing that wishes to change things ....... Is not Trump a Republican ergo : right wing !!! http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/priebus-trump-considering-amending-or-abolishing-1st-amendment It is those Left Wing, Anti-Free Speech, Nazi Type 'Black Shirt' Thugs at Berkeley, and other Universities. Who are the threat to our Freedoms. Not the "Irredeemable Deplorables". I refer to above link Having said the above truth Umm THE TRUTH , "you Can't Handle the Truth" :) Wizard and possibly other Seti@Home Volunteers, threatening Seti@Home for Political Reasons. Are totally incorrect, and destructive to this important attempt. Agreed , grow up people !! |
