Which Card would be better? What I read seems to indicate that the 1050 would be a little better. The GPU statistics don't lump NVIDIA and AMD together so it's hard to tell what is superior. Not only that, It seems that each category is measured against itself, so not super helpful in making the determination. Also, what about 1050 Ti vs RX 470? Seems like 470 is a bit cheaper but 1050 Ti may outperform... wondering if anybody has any thoughts on the matter. Also, is one company's GPU offerings easier/better for multi-GPU setups in SETI (using the aforementioned GPUS)? Thanks for any help. |

Or, from the same site, compare these: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+RX+470&id=3558 http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce+GTX+1050&id=3596 I have an RX470 - 8GB and am very content with it. But I don't use it much here at Seti, as it's almost constantly in use for gaming. Everything now easily runs on Ultra, and I haven't seen the GPU temp go above 74C yet. |
