"Prepping". This article is about the way to go about it if you have the money: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/01/30/doomsday-prep-for-the-super-rich But, do you really worry about the end of the world? More now? The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I don't, because when our sun exits main sequence and its outer layers cross Earth's orbit, blow away the atmosphere and boil the oceans, I and everyone who ever remembered my existence will have been gone for about five billion years... and strangely this doesn't bother me at all. I didn't notice the eternity that passed before I was born; I won't notice that one either. |

Does it not depend on what End we prepare for? If we prepare for an End based on religious prophesy, then the prepping becomes a self fulfilling prophesy. One religious prophesy against another. If the End is science based, ie Climate Change, then we can prepare collectively to minimize, or avoid the End. |

Easy enough to answer. One has 2 options: A: Carry on living life until the end. B: Bend over & kiss your ass goodbye. |

Easy enough to answer. One has 2 options: There is C. Put on armor and live a couple weeks longer in excruciating pain, wishing you had taken A or B. |

LOL. But C only for a nuclear end. If the Sun dies, no need for armour :-) |

Why would God contact someone to tell them the U.S dollar is going to be strong ! ..... Total B/S as Money is the root of all evil As for the other link , well I live in Australia and we don't have many or Big Earth Quakes , as for the Churches umm (cults) well I guess as people get educated they will fall . The religious zealots on the other hand Like Benjamin Netanyahu ? Well there is this story of a deal being done to allow the Church of Solomon to be Rebuilt for a 3rd time and how a new Savior will walk once again through the Golden Gate , but alas this is how people who have listened will know that Lucifer walks among us and starts the final wars and End of Days and the release of the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse as the Seven seals of God are opened And for those that live on Planet Earth , bubble bubble bubble whooooose , big cloud of smoke .......arrrrrrr that's good skit man hehehehehehehe |

The article said in part: "Technology [can] lead to utopias and dystopiasâ€. It can inspire radical optimism——or bleak scenarios. Tim Chang, the venture capitalist who keeps his bags packed, [said], “My current state of mind is oscillating between optimism and sheer terror.â€I think a lot of people can identify with those feelings at some level, and you don't have to be rich to be happy or poor to be scared. The article also said: "There are other ways to absorb the anxieties of our time. “If I had a billion dollars, I wouldn’t buy a bunker,†Elli Kaplan, the C.E.O. of the digital health startup Neurotrack, told me. “I would reinvest in civil society and civil innovation. My view is you figure out even smarter ways to make sure that something terrible doesn’t happen.â€I like that. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Sorry Gordon the smart thing should have happened... Maybe I'll work on my New Zealand visa app, and get a copy of The Stand while I'm waiting. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |
