The message apparently became hidden.

At least I was being allowed here when giving it a try.

Perhaps something to think about when it comes to possible "credibility" versus that of a similar "stupidity".

The link above is for the message itself, by the way.

I can't speak about the posting rules over at Prime Grid, but here at SETI@Home the rules are fairly simple:
To post in the Q&A section you don't need to have any computers attached to the project, thus don't need to have any credits, or RAC.
To post with the main section of the SETI@Home forum you need a minimum credit and RAC. A RAC 10 required is to continue posting, I'm not sure what the start post credit threshold is.

I would expect most other projects to have similar rules.

The reason for being able to post in the Q&A section is to allow people who are struggling to start on a project, or those who are trying to return to that project to ask questions and get help.

The reason given for the restrictions on posting in the main forum is to discourage "posting spam bots" from cluttering up the place - its bad enough when one strikes on the Q&A section - fifty or more posts advertising "personal services" in a two minute window is enough to upset even the most moderate moderator....
