I record and keep a lot of movies and music. I got tired of 'shoehorning' keepers on my local PC drives and invested in a 2 drive NAS and just put my OS and programs on the local C: Now I have 6 Tb of storage that streams just fine over a gigabit wired ethernet and is available to my PC's and my tablet(over wireless). I need to upgrade the wireless leg though as some buffering occurs(but that could be caused by the tablet's resources).

Three days ago, an old man approached the White House from across
Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench.
He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, “I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton.”The Marine replied, “Sir, Mrs. Clinton is not President and doesn't reside here.”
The old man said, “Okay,” and walked away.

The Marine again told the man, “Sir, as I said yesterday, Mrs. Clinton is not President and doesn't reside here.” The man thanked him and again walked away.
The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same Marine, saying “I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton.” The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, “Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mrs. Clinton. I've told you already several times that Mrs. Clinton is not the President and doesn't reside here. Don't you understand?”
The old man answered, “Oh, I understand you fine. I just love hearing your answer!”
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, “See you tomorrow, SIR".

May I say this in the kindnest way I am able to.

And sojme of you shall rail at this, because it invokes religion.
Faith, such as it is, sustains the life of many.
Including non believers.

You see, Christ included you in His plan, for he knew that not all would follow him.

He had a plan, even for you.

Jesus Christ had this plan to safe all mankind of their sins...
And so he has done so.


I rarely invoke God in my discussions here,.
Hope that those men of God and those that might see him soon shall forgive me for doing so now.
I do understand that there are some religions that do not recognize the Christ child.
I believe they are wrong, but I accept that their faith is as strong as mine is.

Even in the massive void he left behind, his legacy surrounds us.

So, ya wanna know how we met.............
I mean, Lori and I.
OK, this is a bit long, but........................................
There is a backstory to our relationship.

And ya know, I have a little story to tell.
L:ori, my love, was the spitting image of Stevie Nicks back in the day.
Long hair, long arms, and those dang long legs./
I fell in love with her the moment I laid eyes on her.
Actually fell offa my barstool. Flat on the floor with eyes agape.

She was THE one.
And forever only./
There was never going anywhere else for me./...
I was simply toaste.
Yes, I went to that bar every night for the next YEAR waiting for her to return.
She finally did.

The next year, we were shaking dice.

One went offa the bar.
She went down to pick it up, and I dived up to fetch it.
We collided. She ended up with a broken cheekbone and a horrible black eye.

She said, well, you broke me, now you own me. What ya say about that, bitch?
I said....................like, forever? She says, yeah, and I suppose you are gonna beat me like that some more like my last husband???????///
No, never, hon. Not ever. That was an accident.

We have been through a lot since then. Her recovery and my ongoing troubles.
She has recoverd herself. I am still fighting that grand battle with myself.
We are one, though. She hates me when I lose the fight, and loves me those days that I win one.

But always a kiss and a hug when we part.
i do not know it we shall ever play the mairrage game. Not really important to either one of us. We are both chiildren of the sixties. We enjoy our freedom from each other when neccessary and out time together when we need it.. Interesting concept. We are apart, yet neither will have another outside of our relationship. And I would not want anybody else.

We live our own lives, we collide, she needs my help here and there, and I provide it.
Strange relationship... but symbiotic. We feed off of each other. And survive.

Well.....
Off to work again soon. But today, just for a half day. As that gets me out of working OT tomorrow.
Because tomorrow evening, Lori and I are going to see the TSO show in Green Bay at the Resch Center.

Well, the TSO show tonight did not disappoint whatsoever. Much of the show was material that Lori and I had heard from one of their CDs, but had never seen them perform live. It was a delight to see what we had only heard before. And later in the show they did some new numbers also. As well as reprising a few fan favorites.
And they DO have fans.....
At one point, they asked how many in the audience were first time TSOers. I would estimate that about 20 or 25 percent of the crowd raised their hands.
And then they asked...'And how many of you are repeat offenders?' A large roar went up from the crowd and the rest of us stood up and cheered.

They had the sound down perfectly tonight. We were at the second of two shows, so they had everything dialed in.
And, if you have never been to a TSO performance, the light show is hard to describe. Lasers, floods, spots, smoke generators, and pyrotechnics. All computer synched to the music. As well as the entire backdrop of the stage being filled one end to the other by 22 foot tall LED screens which displayed amazing graphics throughout the show. The grand finale' used some real pyrotechnics that left the smell of gunpowder and quite a haze in the auditorium........LOL. When we first walked into the place, it was kinda hazy....and one of the vendors said 'Oh, that was their grand finish.' And indeed it was.

Simply magnificent.

And they pack the whole stage set up in 20 semis to get it from show to show. Unloaded, set up, and packed back up by 100 some roadies and gaffers for every venue. They were in Green Bay today to do 2 shows only......our show ended at around 10:45PM. We waited in line so Lori could get her program booklet autographed. Which the entire cast showed up to do.....and not every artist is even gracious enough to do this. Much less the entire troupe of a show. Some 25 or more performers came out to a line of tables set up in the lobby area, and each and every one signed their picture in Lori's show booklet. And, given the looks in their eyes, they were actually delighted to do so. And some of these cats have been at it a long time. You do not see the lines on their faces from out in the crowd. But, they love those who love them.

Simply heartwarming.

By the time we had gone through the line, it was past midnight. We poked our noses into the arena just to have a peek, and they already had over half of it dismantled. One of the stage managers happened by, and told us that by 3AM, they would have it all packed up in those 20 semi trucks and be on their way to the next show tomorrow in South Carolina. An amazing accomplishment, and one you could only appreciate if you saw the technical complexity of the show and the equipment involved.

God willing, Lori and I shall see them again, it will never grow old.
If you have never been to a TSO show, I highly recommend putting it on your bucket list. Worth every penny, twice over.

And a final note.......
TSO gives back. Before the show, there was a presentation. They pledged a dollar from every ticket sold for this year's shows in Green Bay to be donated to local charities. I believe the figure was some $114,000.00 dollars.

Darkness descended upon Man...,.,
And so I have lived with it for all of my life.
Some do not know the struggle for light, or enlightenment, that I have endured for every single day.
Some do not know how hard it can be to just get up out of bed in the morning to face a new day.
You are so blessed.
I am not.

I face, each day, with a new set of toils and troubles, just as you are.
But mine come with a built in set of hurdles most of you do not encounter.

Like even getting out of bed. Not the physical part of that, that is simple.
But, having to ask one's self...do I wish to at all?
And why?

That is part of a manic depressive's daily ritual that some of you do not have to face.
The every day question of 'must I face another day?' And waiting for some kind of answer.
I have been dealing with this for a long time now.
It did not hit me when I was a teenager, not until about 30 years ago. Then, for no reason, a brick wall appeared /.
It darkened my whole life.
Threatened to take it from me.
It did so for my younger brother.
I refused to submit, and still do to this day.

This is a disease that has no cure, and finds few at times willing to admit or talk about it.
Depression kills more people than any other cause so documented in the world.
Because so few are willing to admit it before they succumb.

I am one of the few that has both documented and not yet given in to the dark side.
I never shall, for my brother did, and I promised on that day that I never would.
I shall keep that promise.

I chased my brother to his death, he jumped off of a bridge before I could get to him.
I kissed his bloody body on the slab that night.
I have two surviving brothers.

Life for me goes on..........and I see no other alternative.
That is a good thing. I see no way out, other than the good Lord dealing with me as he wishes.
I could not save him, but if my words could save but one of you................that would be a blessing.
For God so gave me that task.
And so far, His wishes have dealt me nothing but blessings.
