I broke a rib last night.
Ouch.

Tripped over Purrball.
The silly kitty just wants to be so near me all of the time.
And sometimes does not step out of the way because she has just come to trust me so much.

I crashed hard, she was OK, but I went down very hard.

I laid there for an hour or more........Purrball of course, was licking my face.

I am OK now.

I love my kitties sooooooooooooooooooooo much.

Last I heard, JJW was still livin' up against that redneck wall down in Texas, still kickin' hippies' asses and raising hell.
I should try to contact him again. We sure had a grand time the last rodeo he and I had here in Wisconsin.
Except for the morning in the slammer.................LOL.
But they sure as hell liked it when we woke up and started singing.

Not to say the Lori is not my favorite ride, as it were.
But, there are some levels where we just are not on the same plane.
She don't know much rock and roll, and does not wish to.
She knows the name of Jerry Lee Lewis, but not much else about him.
She loves me to my rotten core. But we live apart, so we have the freedom to stand back once in a while.

Our arrangement, living apart, gives us both freedoms we would not otherwise have.
I need it, she needs it. It is dead stare stand off at times.
Cats staring at each other with claws bared.

And yet we are inseperable. Neither can survive without the other for very long.
She knows it, I know it, and it is why we have been tethered to each other for so long now.
Tether, as in.....tied forever.
Two strings forever tied that cannot ever be separated.
Most that get married could never experience the bond that we have.
We did not need that to have what we have.

She gets angry as hell at me when I sit here and get drunk as a skunk here on the couch.
But when Monday comes around and I am sober and at work, she is usually all honey like.
That's my baby. That is why we have been together for so long.

Like, forever.

But, have you noticed Sam Jackson in Black Snake Moan?
Not a particular plus from movie critics.
And I guess I get something out of it from Ricci.
But the performance of Samuel is offa the charts on this one.

If you have not bothered to watch it in entirety, do not comment.

A number of years old now, but I consider it as far as acting goes, his finest work....and that includes Django.

The trailer still is the most perfect and chilling introduction to a movie ever.
Moan trailer.....
And can be viewed and interpreted as a significant statement on racism back in that day.

The look, on her face when he says 'uh, I wanna tell you about that....' and she realizes that it is NOT just another hangover. Priceless.

And I particularly like the stern look on her face, because I know the feeling when she says 'What the hell do you know about me????'

Not just my fantasy./
Cats are part and parcel of many other's lives.
If I can find one at the shelter, my next kitty is going to be a Bengal.

A rather exotic breed, but one might turn up, as most are ignorant of what is required to home such a kitty.

Not your average cat, and I do not recommend one for most of you. Unless you have hour of you time exercising a cat. They are not lap kitties at all.
