Me I have seats that are made of Pot Metal, the type metal one finds in cooking pots, cheap junk, replacing the seats would mean adapting Recaro racing seats, I doubt I'd fit.

One day I will be looking to replace the Escort zx2, My choices are rather limited, since I'm 6'1" tall, so far I like the Honda CR-Z EX Hybrid(2010-2016), see below, the Mustang(2007-2016), and the Chevrolet Camaro(2010+), all are coupes. Except for the Honda all seat 4, the Honda seats 2 only.

My Dad is 6' 2" and loves his Camry Hybrid. Surprising how economical it is around town, but if you need to you can put the boot in & it goes quite nicely.

Since I have long legs, the drivers seat is all the way back in the adjustable seat rails, and the seat is leaned back, since I have only 1 fingers worth of headroom when the seat is straight up, the bottoms of My feet can touch the firewall, and My knees touch the console, it's a good thing that I am not taller, I have a friend who is 6'8" tall, He can't fit in the drivers seat, in the front passenger seat He had His legs folded up.

To get in the car or to get out, My head has to go to the rear most part of the top of the door, but then I have a stiff back with Osteoarthritis.

This is why I don't like Sedans today, the front doors seem smaller to Me. My dad and brother owned a 1972 Mercury Brougham Coupe w/a 460 big block(My brother inherited the car from our dad), that I could fit in, and I drove the Sedan version when I was 19 for My DMV test(99/100 out of both written and driving tests, tested in San Pedro CA), but it's a tank, and good luck finding one anymore, plus the gas mileage stinks.

My brother and My sister both drove one, He was 6'1" and She was 5'11" tall, yep We're a bunch of tall ones. Grandpa was 6'2", though I don't know what car, if any that He owned or drove.

I'm just hoping I don't get another charley horse in one of My legs while in the car, that's what tore the metal attached to the seat mounting rail of the original seat, zx2 seats are hard to come by, the last one cost Me $170.00 w/shipping, the seats may as well be made of paper, fox body Mustangs have the same type of cheaply made seats(though they are not identical, just in what they are made of, pot metal), I know that cause I owned at one time. The seat mounting rails though are made of steel that is almost 1/8" thick.

The A3 TDI. It's the high pressure fuel pump. I am leaving it. I settled with Audi. They are buying the car back from me for what I paid for it plus $5,000 in damages.

I already bought a new Ford Edge. Not the 50 mpg of the Audi but reasonable for the extra space. Plus I can carry my bikes or boards inside.

The reason I drive SUVs now is so I can slip in and out sideways without having to strain my knees on vertical movement... and with less risk of slipping on snow and ice. My Grand Cherokee was just a wee bit cramped for me, but my Trailblazer is almost perfect. Newer Chevy SUVs I've had as service loaners are more confining inside, even if they're bigger outside.

Problem is, it has multiple error codes and is overdue for state inspection, without which I can't renew the license plates, also overdue. Maybe Saturday; I'm not on anything at the museum. At this point, I may have to go to the dealer and pay their prices.

We don't have that in Kentucky. Closest thing to it was when they used to do exhaust testing, but they ended that program about 15 years ago.

I misspoke. Just emissions testing, and only in the congested Chicago and St. Louis areas. But the check engine light is on, which is an automatic fail.

CA requires smog inspections every other year. In some cities the inspection has to be done in the city due to higher standards.

My Saturn has that intermittent engine light issue. I've been told it's a bad oxygen sensor.
