That's pronounced 'Froonknstein', at least according to Gene Wilder.

Just watched a really nice interview with Gene Wilder done in 2008 by Alec Baldwin. It's on (TCM)Turner Classic Movies. I hope everyone can find it. It's well worth watching.

That's only a small portion of the interview. I'm not sure if the whole thing is available online. I haven't looked. I watched it on the actual cable channel, TCM.

That's only a small portion of the interview.

I noticed that which is a bit pity.
Anyway, Gene and Mel Brooks did many movies together.
As they said in the interview the changed the title from the first movie "Springtime For Hitler" to "The Producer".
Here we didn't.
In fact all Mel Brooks movies are titled "Springtime for ..." :)

If you get a chance...

There was a flic that Gene Wilder did with Zero Mostel.
About a world taken over by rinosaurus.
Don't remember much about the movie, only saw it once... Kind of a "cult classic"
The name of the movie was Rinoseros!

Oh wow.................
Now there is a man I had forgotten about.
Zero Mostel.
It's not that I did not see him, it's just that about every moment he played was overshadowed and taken by Gene.

Witness...The Producers trailer.

And in the funniest of puns of all..........
The faux show became a hit. Which then spun off on it's own right.
It retains a fanatic following to this day, and some do not know that it was just a skit within the original movie.

Springtime for Hitler.
It became a show within a show.
