I've always enjoyed Steve Goodman's body of work, along the same lines is Todd Snider........ One example is "Statisticians Blues" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUK6zjtUj00 And I believe one of the originators of this style of talking folk/rock(??), is Woodie Guthrie and his friend Pete Seeger, and one of my favorites by him......'Waist Deep In the Big Muddy', a lot of current commentary here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXnJVkEX8O4 "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

And, in my opinion, the best Steve Goodman performance of a composition by Mike Smith........'The Dutchman'. Brings a tear to my eyes every time I hear it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeBD3rcAMFw "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Bob Dylan has finally broken the silence surrounding his Nobel Prize:) Fifteen minute telephone talk with Bob Dylan and the Swedish Academy's permanent secretary took place on Tuesday, but it was not therefore until the Friday evening before the Swedish Academy went out with information in the form of a short press release on the Academy's website. |

I've bought a new audio cassette reader just to listen to Joan Baez singing "Blowing in the wind" and "Imagine". Tullio |

A song and a band I cannot say enough about. Makes me shed a tear every time..... Seldom Scene's trademark song. Wait a Minute. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

And I did not know until just now when I saw the clip, that Chris Eldridge, son of Ben Eldridge, was in the band 'Punch Brothers'. I have listened to their music many times. Happy to know of this tie-in with the Seldom Scene. Full concert from 2015...Punch Brothers. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Luvin' ol' Charlie Daniels. This is NOT the original version, but I like it a lot. Like many other things, I do have the original on plastic. But, unlike many other things, I like the updated version better. Uneasy Rider updated in 2008. Stickin' back to where women are women and men are men.....LOL. And God said....................... God bless ya all. And God made..........farmers. I do se miss Paul Harvey. His wit and wisdom were a staple of life. His son tries, but he is not the same. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
