Nice one Blurf, should give you a decent little cruncher for all your projects, and be a good daily driver at the same time. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Brought it online w/ Boinc just now. Not running all 8 cores yet. Running 4 Seti and 1 on PG (SOB). Lunatics installed |

Trying to gauge how this new machine is running. I know GPU tasks are running longer but I can't tell if it's running the app right? |

Trying to gauge how this new machine is running. It looks like you aborted a good many tasks and only two validated so far. Is that what you intended? The valid tasks were run as CUDA50. There are some tuning tweaks that you can do. Look at the /project/Seti/docs directory where Lunatics installed the BOINC software and read the text files for MBCUDA. The MBCUDA.cfg file is installed in the SETI directory and all you have to do is un-comment some of the tweak parameters to make them active I would run with abovenormal process priority, pfblockspersm = 12 or maybe 15 and pfperiodsperlaunch = 200 or try 400 too. You also can choose to not run CUDA at all and use the SoG app with the latest Lunatics 0.45 Beta 4 installer. A lot of us are finding it much faster than CUDA on the Green Bank BLC (Guppi) tasks which take a performance hit on CUDA. It looks like BLC tasks are going to be the major item on the menu for the foreseeable future. In the /docs directory is also the text explanation tweak files for AstroPulse. You can try some of the suggested parameters for your class of card. We are not getting much AP work these days though. The latest run earlier this weekend produced much sturm und drang though, 100% radar blanked tasks for nothing much in credit. Trying to gauge how this new machine is running. Thank you. Ok I aborted them as I was just testing today and didn't need a full load |
