So that chair was manufactured in America, WAS it American prison officers who put him in it? Yes it was and is made in the States and no they didn't . However Americans criticizing us over child abuse is a bit rich when there doing worse than what was being done in the jail and there not even going to look at the problems they have . At least we have a 1/2 arsed excuse it happened in a Jail with a very naughty boy . And we are going to fix it but first we gotta get rid of the Liberal Party as there the ones who keep looking to the states for so called better ways to do things . And the Northern Territory is just that a Territory and does not have State status so the federal Government has the last word on what happens up there and why I am not surprised it has happened the same for Queensland the Red neck State where there has also been a report of simular things happening and I think Victoria which has a history of the same crap , it also has the highest kill rate by cops . But when the Royal Commision into institutionalised abuse finishes things will change and that Royal commission has been going for 12 months so far and has already had a few priests charged now if only we can get that coward cardinal George Pell back to ozz we can put him in jail . he's hiding out in the Vatican city in Rome . And once the new Royal commission into what has happened in the n.t finishes things will change |

Fair comments. However instead of taking a pop at the Yanks, take a pop at the OP, he's a crazy Irishman living in the UK who'll take a pop at anyone that deserves it. As with other countries, Australia does deserve a pop at due to those images in the original post. It seems every one commenting has missed the point! Those that put that kid in the chair & restrained him - Following orders because they don't want to lose their job? or That's their mindset anyway? |

Those that put that kid in the chair & restrained him - Following orders because they don't want to lose their job? They can lose their jobs anyway no matter what they do. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/g4s-security-guards-handed-redundancy-5540968 Restraining juveniles like in the picture is not unique to Australia. Despicable? Yes. Surprised? No. Looks like a common trend that many of police duties are now outsourced to all sort of private security companies. Companies with the lowest bid get the contract. In this case GS4. (oops, a Danish/Swedish company from the beginning). From night watchers to prison wards and "security" guards in public spaces. The caring and passion for service approaches used by our people are reflected in high standards of service provided for our customers and end users. Our ethos is founded on a philosophy of fairness, respect for human rights and the personal dignity of the people entrusted to our care. We believe in going the extra mile and getting it right first time every time. Such nonsense statement from GS4. |

The caring and passion for service approaches used by our people are reflected in high standards of service provided for our customers and end users But not the people they are looking after only there customers and End users !!!!!! We believe in going the extra mile That's why we use draconian means and torture to subdue the inmates . I'm shocked there Danish/Swedish Janne !! not the poms!! |

I'm shocked there Danish/Swedish Janne !! not the poms!! I'm not really shocked. All these "security" companies outsourced from the police seems always to overdo their duties. GS4 still operate in Sweden but with a different name. One of their contract was to inspect that commuters had paid their fees. That doesn't mean that you should need to be behaving like Gestapo. GS4 did and there are probably more companies doing it. PS. I like the word End User:) |

Not quite Jan. Night Watchers, later to become Night Guards, then Securicor is British. Group 4 merged with Securicor in 2004 to form G4S. |

Not quite Jan. Night Watchers, later to become Night Guards, then Securicor is British. Group 4 merged with Securicor in 2004 to form G4S. Well. I didn't tell the whole story about GS4. Over the years GS4 have merged and split the company back and forth many times. That alone should be a warning sign not to engage that company. Then we have the controversies... Recent controversies involving the company have included allegations of use of immigrant-detainee labour in prisons,[79] allegations of misconduct in child custodial institutions,[80] allegations of police telephone data manipulation,[81] and its troubled nine-year employment of terrorist Omar Mateen.[82][83] |

It's all about money... History of G4S Most people associate Securicor with armoured vehicles attending to banks. They were much more than in that they had their Distribution Business & were great to work for. That is until Nick Buckles joined & the bush telegraph went into overdrive, every driver knew that it would soon be bye bye as the rumours flew thick & fast. Many of us went to Securicor's Driver Agency, which again was great to work for, that is until they sold that to Randstadt. |

they sold that to Randstadt. LOL. They operate in Australia as well. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3404093/Melbourne-recruiter-Randstad-s-honest-job-ad-senior-digital-producer.html And Sweden of course! If you want prison wards choose Randstadt that have mostly compentence in these areas. Economy and Finance Office and administration Warehousing and logistics Production and workshop Student Sales and marketing Technology and IT Actually Randstadt have no employers at all. Or at least a very few. It's a company that manage people out of work and deliver them when a customer is in need of temporary labours for a short period. Oh. G4S in Sweden today http://avarn.se/english/ |

Canada's shame! We have found that the road to reconciliation is long, hard, and fraught with miss-steps. I am hoping that we can really do some good as soon as possible. First in the process is the acceptance of the equal status that is also the birth right of our native populations, and not just a polite mouthing of pop phrases extoling some pie in the sky version a new equal Canada. I hope you people down-under are even better at it than we think we are. Good luck. |

Private companies? How are they getting paid & who from? Umm " Any information pertaining to NARU comes under the official secrets act and therefore subject to Laws within ." Question asked "We can not answer that question as it's a operational matter" Repeat , Wash , and repeat again . Another fine mess the Lib's have gotten into , the race to the bottom of the refugee problems |
