Hello,
Perhaps this has been answered already and if so please direct me to the link.

If for example the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico closes tomorrow(Hope it never closes) but let us say it does.

What will happen to this project? Will it be retired? Will new sources be found ?

Just want to know

If Arecibo were turned off as a source the project would be reliant initially on data coming in from the GBT, plus the reprocessing of old Arecibo data (which of course would gradually be exhausted). There are plans to get data from a couple of other large telescopes, but these are not in the testing stages yet, so may be a year or so away.
