Our Military knows who should be the next President http://thehill.com/policy/defense/288546-poll-libertarian-johnson-beating-trump-clinton-among-active-duty-troops Military troops favor Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson for president over Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, according to a new survey. http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2016/07/22/vice-chair-of-d-c-gop-to-resign-over-trump-nomination.html?via=desktop&source=copyurl The vice chairman of the Washington, D.C., GOP party plans to resign from his post and vote for libertarian candidate Gary Johnson in November, the longtime Republican operative told The Daily Beast. Gary Teal, a delegate at the Republican convention, said he had already told fellow delegates that he will resign. “If I’m not going to vote for the nominee, then I have to resign my position,†Teal said. “I’m prepared to do that.†Three additional delegates from Washington, D.C., joined Teal to announce their support for the libertarian candidate. Justin Dillon, Kris Hammond, and Peter Lee—who were wearing #NeverTrump buttons—spoke to The Daily Beast in the hallway of Quicken Loans Arena, just minutes after Donald Trump finished his keynote speech on Thursday night. “The RNC has bungled this nomination process by having bad rules,†Teal said, referring to a controversy over nominating rules that caused chaos on the convention floor Monday. “And now at this convention, they’ve sacrificed integrity in favor of unity.†In a CNN poll released last week, Johnson polled at 13 percent against the field of Trump, Hillary Clinton, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein. http://www.redstate.com/brandon_morse/2016/07/22/rumors-circulate-jeb-bush-endorsing-libertarian-gary-johnson/ First it was Glenn Beck who said he'd likely take his vote away from the Republican party to give it to the Libertarians and now we have yet another doing the same. http://www.johnsonweld.com/ |

It's one thing for the average citizen to vote for these 3rd party candidates, but does the electoral college recognize them? The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I find it very strange that a nation thinks that a vote for a presidental candidate that is not a Republican or a Democrat is a waste. There are so many that thinks that both Hillary and Donald are a bad choice. Well you now have the opportunity to change that. Probably it will not change that this year but at very least showing that by voting and saying enough is enough is a step. |

I find it very strange that a nation thinks that a vote for a presidental candidate that is not a Republican or a Democrat is a waste.Brain Washed. by which he means that voters gradually desert the weak parties on the grounds that they have no chance of winning Yep, brainwashed into voting for second best. |

I find it very strange that a nation thinks that a vote for a presidental candidate that is not a Republican or a Democrat is a waste.Brain Washed. However, any discussion of other ways of indicating your votes/preferences and selecting the winner from these indications should be followed with heavy consideration of the findings of Kenneth Arrow. I think it would be great for others to stand up and run for president. It's not brainwashing that makes people stick with Democrat or Republican. It's just the lack of knowledge that there are other options, and that also means fewer people try to run independently. It's a catch-22. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Like Arrow's impossibility theorem. Another interesting read, at least what I could keep up with. ;^) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrow%27s_impossibility_theorem People can surprise you though. I can see a lot voting to prevent a candidate's winning vs. voting for best candidate. Har! ... |

Support in Utah, which if can be believed, shows that with a bit of a surge Johnson could do it there. The Salt Lake Tribune - Trump winning Utah converts, but he has a long way to go Cleveland • On the convention floor, Utah Republican Party Chairman James Evans took the microphone and proclaimed that not only would the party's nominee, Donald Trump, win the Beehive State in November, but he would get his largest margin of victory in the nation there. |

All we Americans have to do is disband the Electoral College. That is an 18th century thing, not needed in the 21st century! Every time I've voted, the WRONG person was elected. All we Americans have to do is disband the Electoral College. That is an 18th century thing, not needed in the 21st century! Every time I've voted, the WRONG person was elected. Given your other recent posts, this one is different. Thus, one must ask, what do you think the purpose of The Electoral College was & is and why is its existence not in keeping with the philosophy you seem to be espousing in other recent posts? Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |

I like Johnson. Will probably vote for him. I have very little hope that he'll be allowed into the debates this year, or any third parties within my lifetime. But I still hope. As to why so many people ignore 3rd parties: I have a lot of friends who do not care for politics and simply vote by party, and never a third party. Their main thoughts everyday are going to work and paying the bills. They say they don't have time to look up the candidates or third parties. They just vote 1 of the 2 parties, the same party across the ballot. I can understand, but seems like a terrible way to make a decision. |

It's just the lack of knowledge that there are other options, and that also means fewer people try to run independently. It's a catch-22. Please do not forget that votes for Ralph Nader inadvertently helped George W Bush into the White House. Can you blame some of us for being gun-shy? |

It's just the lack of knowledge that there are other options, and that also means fewer people try to run independently. It's a catch-22. If everyone switched there would be no reason to be gun shy. Today at least tell the pollsters you are voting for Gary Johnson. It will put him on the debate stage and in a three way debate Trump will look more the buffoon. |
