During the first 4 WoW events the participation tally has been:

2012: 466
2013: 729
2014: 838
2015: 885

Let's make the increase bigger than the previous 2 years and hopefully we'll get over: 1,000 SETIzens to participate...for the 1st TiMe eVeR!
In order to do so, please start telling your fellow SETIfriends about the WoW event NoW ...so that they have a chance to tell their other SETIfriends!

Let the pre-WoW FuN begin and let's make some more SETIfriends.

True...so I'll be reporting a tally of registered SETIzens for WoW 2016.
But since I don't want anyone to get annoyed with daily updates, my mascot "Count von Count" will only be posting on "prime-number"-days before the event"

So starting:

in 2 days from now (2 is a prime #),
on July 29th (another prime #)
with 17-days left (a prime #) before WoW starts

expect Count von Count to provide you with:

updates in total (WoW, another prime #)!!!

Can you tell I'm all primed up for WoW!?! lol
(but not in the Aussie sense of the expression)

There are currently ~227 SETIzens registered for the event.

This is an increase of ~29/day since Stephen pointed out 2 days ago:

The Yip-Yips are looking attentively to see if the SETIzen community will start to mobilize itself in greater numbers in order to top 1,000 participants for the 1st time ever!

Are you getting "all primed up"?!?
If so, tell your fellow SETIzens to sign up!

This is an increase of ~41/day since the last update

As was hoped, Kermit the Frog was able to track down the Yip-Yips for an interview.

They're pleased to see a significant increase since they've landed...but they're not yet certain if the current momentum will be enough to top 1,000.
They plan on using Earth technology to see if they can provide Kermit with a better answer during the week to come.
Will their reponse be: Nop-nop-nop...or Yep-yep-yep!

It all depends on you.
So tell your fellow SETIzens to sign up!
Otherwise, just register...since that's all you really need to do to participate.

Next update: in 2 days with 11 days before the start of the big event!

Many KWSN got lost or fell down on the way to registration.
Over 70 of us did show for the start. Other teams seem a bit low also.

Keep in mind that SETIzens can always register after WoW has started.
That's why I stopped my ridiculous countdown.
Plus, I lost my inspiration.

Maybe we'll see the Yip-Yips in another post.
Or maybe even Gonzo...since he thinks he's an alien! lol
