Alright here are some of the things that I am struggling with, keep in mind I joined yesterday: How do I add a signature to my account and How do I add a profile pic that appears on my posts?

Look at the blue bar at the top of the screen. One of the choices is ACCOUNT.
Click on that (if you are in windows, right click and open in a new window so you can continue reading.) In the new window there is a section called preferences. The middle choice is Community preferences. Click on that. In the new window there is a section called message board identity.
From you here you can upload your avatar (picture that appears on your post) and a signature.
It's that simple.

Click on Account at the top right of the web page (if you're not logged in it'll ask you to do so, it's worth using the Remember me (or whatever it's called) option to save you doing that each time you come here), in the Preferences section click on "Community preferences" and in there you can select to use an Avatar (and supply one if you have one ready to go), as well as select the signature you want to use.
Once done click the Update button down at the bottom of the screen to make it so.

After uploading your avatar picture and typing in your signature scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the update button.
Click the community button to navigate back to the message boards.

Locked out? How do you think the Project Admins feel getting locked in? The blast doors come crashing down, the cybernetic monkies start rattling their cages, the cadavers from the undead experiments seem like they start moving about , and by the third hour, the physicists start getting frustrated and tugging on their hair, pulling some out in the process, and wouldn't you know, the hidden E.T. have to start using their glowing fingers to see in the darkened hallways!
