"Of course, when they export to the EU, British companies must comply with EU regulation, whether the UK is in the EU or not. But is there any reason why the UK should not seek an arrangement with the EU like that of, say, the US, Australia or Canada? They flourish without belonging to the Single Market." Only of they are rational but some of the noise out of some French and German leaders indicates they wish to be spiteful. |

The BBC, and others, claim London contributes large amounts to the UK economy. I doesn't require a PhD exam to understand that. London is the capital and the financial center in Britain. Not only that. It's the financial center of Europe. But what are London trading? Mostly intangible assets. I read somewhere that you should see London as an engine and England supplying the fuel. |

Workers of the world, unite! To bring the union idea into the 21th century perhaps the slogan should be changed to: Employees of the world, unite! Workers sounds to me like blue collar and there are not so many of them now in the western world. |

Workers of the world, unite! Please note that in the UK, the big service and retail outlets do not have employees or staff they have "colleagues" |

Workers of the world, unite! Hehe. Yes. But not here. The term "colleagues" are only used in a positive way by employees working together. Employers however usually call employees co-workers "medarbetare" to somehow make the employee feel more important. |

If the sourpusses in remain don't get their way with a 2nd referendum...I thought it was the fools who believed the remain polls but wanted to protest vote. Shocked they are. Of course by the time of the redo the economy will have hit a new bottom leading to interesting results. Bookies take bets. Polls don't. And people follow polls and change their votes based on polls. One of the evils of modern elections. |

Now they see opportunity to fleece the island and they are going to insist on their just due. One can be sure that whatever the EU tax the UK would have paid by staying would have been less than the new trade regulations will extract. Germany and France will see to it so the EU tax will be less that it would have been on them if the UK had stayed. |

Unfortunately German big business has already said nein to that because they know that Britain can return the favour by increasing their costs of import to the UK :-) |

There's that, so Britain's exit must make them more fearful & should the EU actually show that spite that's being stated, the rest of the Eurozone will look to those 2 countries & say, we didn't sign up for this... ...bye bye "European Project" As I said, a win/win situation for Britain. |
