I'm on Centos 6, saw that my epel yum installed boinc was not running any tasks. Thought it might be a SETI@home v7 vs v8 thing as there were jobs available for v8: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html Downloaded and built the source but am still getting: 30-May-2016 16:41:19 [SETI@home] No tasks sent 30-May-2016 16:41:19 [SETI@home] No tasks are available for SETI@home v7 30-May-2016 16:41:19 [SETI@home] No tasks are available for AstroPulse v7 Tried a number of times. Is there something I have to do to get it to attempt v8 tasks or is that potentially not my issue here? Thanks, Don |

Seti v7 is no longer available, at all. Seti v8 is the new default work, with the Breakthrough Listen being run on the same application. If your OS is being recognized as a correct Linux, it should send you v8 work when you check SETI@home v8 on the project preferences page. [/url] |

Guess my previous reply wasn't added or it's waiting in the DB possibly. It was that the v8 wasn't checked. I assumed I was v7 for some reason when I started with setathome. Once I had figured out how to suspend my pogs runs I setiathome downloaded tasks. Missed that bit about having to be in the boinc home directory for authentication. Enhancement would be to figure out the home directory from the path?? Anyway up and running again. Thanks Jord. Don |
