I just got this notice in my BOINC manager, after processing several jobs. I installed BOINC and started SETI@Home just yesterday.

"Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of SETI@home v8."

I am running Ubuntu 14.04, and I installed the BOINC software through the command line using

sudo apt-get install boinc-client
sudo apt-get install boinc-manager

Am I stuck, or will it self-correct? If I'm stuck, how do I resolve this?

I uninstalled both boinc-client and boinc-manager, and reinstalled them, and now I'm running SETI v8, and processing data.
