Due to a Series of Cranially Repeated Eraneaus Working Un-optimal Problems I have managed to dump about 800 tasks over the last few days. If at first you get it wrong, do it wrong in the same way again, and again, and again....
Normal services are being resumed slowly.

You are not alone in that Club.

The past few days my main rigs got the hiccups. Tried lots of stuff to get it running smooth, but ended up With a fresh install of drivers and boinc Client to get everything running. And of course a lot of dropped tasks, and some failed ones during the different troubleshooting.

Finnaly my main host is back up running full time again. Windows TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery) really screw Things up. Dont know how many crashes i've had due to tdr, but after a bit of fiddeling With settings it now runs like clockwork.

During the troublesome period i've lost some WU's and might have some invalids too, but this should now be solved.

Greetings Rune,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now I know basically what the flashing is that I see on occasion. I just saw one a few minutes ago and remembered this thread and Googling what Windows TDR was.

Since it is driver related, I'm now wondering if this could have anything at all to do with my occasional BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) events.

Jord? Oh Jord, what do you think? ;)

Thanks Rune! :)

Keep on BOINCing...! :)

Yes. After few (10 from memory) driver restarts Windows enters BSoD.

It seems more like 5 driver recovery during 60 sec brings a BSOD.
