It's really frustrating when i see a topic i want to join in on the discussion but i can't. And where i can, there isn't a lot of interest for me to react(issues of a new member). So whats the deal ? because my fingers are itching for some relevant conversation

You only have access to the Help Desk forums (Questions and Answers) because those don't require you to have a recent average credit (RAC) of more than 1 (one).

The main forums do because they are for active community participants, people who actively help the project out with the calculations. You don't seem to be doing so, as under this account you don't seem to have any computers added with which you do Seti's calculations. It is possible you have more than one account and are using another to do these calculations, but then you have to log in on that other account to be able to post with it in the main forums.

Requiring people to actively work for the project also deters spammers, who else can just post their crap on the forums without much to counter them with. Now, if they want to spam, they have to use these lesser forums, or do some calculations before being able to post in main. But that's too much effort for them, as the end result will be banishment anyway.
